Description

The Silver Surfer has crash landed back in his own universe. Beta Ray Bill and Quasar find him unconscious. He wakes up and they tell him he was hit by a huge beam of life. They also tell him that there is trouble on Zenn-La and Captain Marvel is trying to stop it. The Surfer refuses their help and goes alone.

He gets to Zenn-La, and it is falling apart. But the Surfer cannot interact with anything. Captain Marvel tells him there is a power surge coming from the temple and maybe the Surfer has the power to get to it. But the Surfer does not try to help and instead tells Marvel that they must leave.

Captain Marvel is furious that the Surfer will not even try to save his own homeworld. Surfer attacks Marvel when he tries to go back to help and encases him in his board and takes Marvel out of harm’s way. The Surfer then says his last goodbye to Shalla Bal before leaving the planet.

In orbit they watch the planet just evaporate into nothingness. Somehow the Surfer knows this was all an illusion of Galactus but he doesn’t know how. The Surfer seems unfeeling as he tells Marvel that Zenn-La has long been dead, just as Norrin Radd has.
