Homicide Detectives Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim investigate murders specific to super-hero cases, and they both have a secret: They both have powers.

In this issue, Deena discovers that Walker still have powers after the destruction of his appartment by Satan. Afraid she might hurt him because of her powers, she runs away.

While Calista his looking for strange apparitions and for Deena to show up at Walker’s place, Walker finally finds Queen Noir and helps her commit suicide, in order to stop the demon controlling her, making her kill all his teammates. After her death, the demon is sent back to hell where Satan will take care of him.

Later that night, after closing the case, the Millenium Guard appears in Walker’s hotel room, telling him he shouldn’t have used his powers in a case other than protecting his planet from invasion. They understand for this time, but won’t accept it anymore. They also tell him the Millenium Guard shouldn’t be involved in the situation with his companion in trouble, talking about Deena and her dangerous powers, but walker doesn’t understand the meaning of their warning, unaware of Deena having powers.
